Congratulation Familia. I hope you know some spanish, because you have a lots of cousins like myself who is from Panama.
Maybe you find out about one of our relative that went to Cuba to live and we don’t know anything about him. This is a big step that you have to accomplish, but I know for a fact that you can do it, because is in the blood.

Good luck, and May God be always with you.

    Dear Rick,

It’s so hard to contain myself with the pride that comes over me just thinking about what you have accomplished in your career. To the world, you are Capt. Hibbert, Commanding Officer of one of the most historic Naval Bases in U.S. history. But to me, you are simply my big brother Ricky. You are the one who used to go running with me, the one who taught me the fundamentals of mixing records and the one who used to torture me for laughs. When I think of you, I remember how you used to love playing the game Defender at the corner store in Lakeview and yell…”Deehh-finite!” when you got a free man or extended play. Throughout our childhood, you have always been someone that I could look up to. You would cut the grass, take out the garbage, change the oil in the car, do well in school…you were automatic. And with that you taught me the importance of hard work. I remember there were times that you would begin doing something that seemed very strenuous and in my inquisitive way I would ask…”How can you do that?” and you would answer simply by saying ”Someone has to do it”. It was these lessons that helped make me into that man that I am today, a no excuses man of integrity. So I salute your accomplishments but I am not the least bit surprised. Thank you for being a role model for me and now for my kids. Blessings my brother! My only regret is that our dad is not here to see this. But we know he is smiling up there drinking his White Rum with milk, saying….”That’s my boy”. Continue to keep your head up and always stay one step ahead. Anticipation is everything.

    Nuff Respect,

    “Big Ricky”!

I am proud to be able to say, “I knew you back when…” It’s great to know that such a cool cousin & childhood playmate is being recognized, on the national stage, for your competence and achievements. I am just bursting with pride – no joke.

    Love,

    Hi Big Ricky!

At first, I couldn’t imagine how honored you must feel to be bestowed with this trenemdous and yet rewarding assignment. But now on second thought, perhaps you feel atleast as overwhelmingly proud as I am for you….

    All the best Captain!
