Hibbert Family Reunion · Celebration, July 2026
A Legacy Worth Celebrating
The story behind our reunion T-shirt, told one detail at a time.
The front
The colors
Gold, green and black. The colors represent the Jamaican flag and our family’s Jamaican roots.
The flags
At the top, family members wave flags in the spirit of our Celebration theme, with the energy and movement you might see during Carnival.
Look closely and you will count eleven flags: eight Jamaican and three Panamanian. They represent our eleven family lines. The three Panamanian flags honor the lines of Icilda, Violet and Uncle T, who migrated to Panama in the early 1900s.
Our tree has branched across countries and continents, but the roots are the same.
The bees
And of course, the bees. They represent Solomon Hibbert’s profession as a beekeeper, and they have become a symbol of who we are: many branches, working together as one hive.

The QR code
And finally, a QR code that brings past and present together. Scan it and you land on the Hibbert family website, where our history and our connections continue to live.
So it was never just a reunion T-shirt.
It told our family story.
