This award highlights the person in the family who is living a life of example — bringing honor to the Hibbert name and legacy through
the work and deeds of daily life. It was created to remind the family that all work is honorable work, and to always do your best, because
someone is watching and noticing you.
It is given to a family member who is an example to all generations and has allowed God to use their life to do good work on this planet.
Such a recipient has created big footprints for others to follow — chosen for the pride we hold in the service they give through their life,
work, and voluntary activities.
It is my honor to introduce a true force for unity and progress — a woman whose life’s work is the art of connection. Resourceful, dynamic and visionary, she lifts people up, brings communities together, and tirelessly champions the needs of the Jamaican people at home and abroad. Her leadership and passion have earned her election to the Global Jamaican Diaspora Council, where she has continued to build bridges between Jamaica and its many children across the world. We thank her for her unwavering dedication to the diaspora in the southeastern United States, for mobilizing resources, mentoring emerging leaders, and creating opportunities that strengthen families and communities. Please join me in celebrating a remarkable dynamo whose compassion, courage, and commitment keep Jamaica’s spirit alive wherever her people may be.

Tonight we honor a man who is the very fabric of his family and a pillar of our aviation community. With steady hands and exacting skill, he has risen to the highest levels of his profession, mastering the precision and calm that flight demands. Beyond his achievements in the cockpit, he has opened doors for others — mentoring men and women, and people of color, guiding them into careers in aviation with patience, wisdom, and generosity. He leads not by proclamation but by example: always showing up for his loved ones, always teaching through action. He has groomed, trained, and mentored countless colleagues — and, most personally, his own son — nurturing the next generation of pilots.
